Uh ohhhhh!

Hey guys, I notice some salt on the back of my tank a few months ago. I thought it was from splashing water out. I cleaned it. And just now I found this. It is dry and crusty salt. So if it is a leak, it's extremely slow. Should I just keep cleaning the salt or is something more drastic in order?
Am I tempting fate if I leave it? Lol

It looks like salt creep to me. Just wipe it away. If it is dry and crusty I doubt it is a leak.

I agree it's definitely creep. The question is how is it getting underneath my overflow box in the back. Water should not be dripping back there. Is it normal for a built-in overflow to creep like that?

Not normal IMO, I would bet there is a slow leak somewhere in that vicinity.

I'm thinking a leak from a seam on the overflow box or the bulk head on the box. I've had brand new eshopps overflows leak from a weak weld.

Anyone have an idea for a plan of attack. There is no way that tank is coming away from the wall unless I completely empty it.

think maybe if I stopped it flow and put silicone around the outside of the overflow box that would stop it?

I'd remove the overflow box and reseal it with acrylic glue. Check your bulk head seal too.
