It may be possible that it is moving to a more likeable spot. Or that it does not like the whites. What light fixture are you using and also what are your current parameters?

That looks like a condylactis anenome. They are a pain. I have had them literally run away from the light and end up starving in a cave. What kind of clown do you have? Clownfish are picky too. Many won't host in a condy. I would move the rock it's on to the bottom of the tank and leave it be for a week to see what happens. So you feed the anenome? They can eat thawed silversides, or even rosey red minnows. Just tong feed it. If you can't get it to accept that, then get some Hikari Corallific Delight. My anenome LOVES IT! I mix it in a hell form and syringe it right on the mouth. It curls around it and swallows it down I'm about 5 min! Good luck!

I have an anemone that looks just like OPs but was sold as a bubble tip. Sometimes they shrink down when something disturbs them

looks good, they do open and close daily sometimes couple x

Good to report, its big like normal and has stayed that way... i have also Rescaped the tank and it seems to like the new spot
