Hi, I am looking at buying a RO unit
What is the best value for money and is avalible in the UK.

I bought a 3 stage one off ebay for £30, I think the brand was aquati ltd. It seems to do the job when I tested it. I also keep crystal shrimp which seem to do alright.

Vyair on Amazon is not a bad price or go direct but the customer service makes it worth every penny

I had mine for a year then the power supply box went they sent me a new one next day free of charge and talked me thru fitting it on the phone answered emails instantly I’d deffo spend the extra for a vyair I have the 50glp day pumped

Do all RO units need power?

No just the pumped version but on their website I think it says about having at least 3/4 bar mains pressure to the property where you plumbing it in
