So I have a friend who has a tank with coral. It is an ulns. Everything is doing great except for a Jedi mind trick. Her has zoas, and other monti as well as a Davis all don't good. Any ideas? 8.5 alk, around 420 cal and between 1400 to 1500 mag.

They are most likely hungry.She needs some no3 and po4. At least 2-5 ppm no3 and .02-.06 ppm po4

The Jedi mind trick is the only one...but I did explain that to him. Especially since he isn't dosing amino acids...

Ok. Do you know where hes keeping his NO3 and PO4 ? Is that consistent? And for how long?

I'm about ready to call it a day so... I would suggest feeding/aminos or oyster feast. Then suggest she start lowering her alk and mag and calcium

No3 and po4 is 0. Stable. I tried saying he needs to get those up a bit.

I have done urns. Do not like it, period. The info is old info - before we had all the great filtration methods (ie, great skimmers,etc). Zeovit is different so works but I don't like living on the edge of a crash! Po3 and no4 needs to go up.
