So some of us have way too much time on our hands and it got me thinking - what would my dream tank look like money being no object ...

So let’s set it out like this
Options
1) sump system , AIO or no sump

2) sump system : Red Sea or Waterbox or custom
AIO : Red Sea , Waterbox or Innovative marine or other

3) lights : stick with the given system or upgrade to something else - led/mh combo etc

4) sumps : ooh this one could be interesting I know there are some boutique sump builders out there

5) water movement : all return pump based or gyre style or standard powerhead style

6) the one upgrade you wish you had made on your current system

1) Sump

2) Red Sea. I don't like that water boxes have the back chambers even in their sumped tanks and I don't know anyone who makes custom tanks.

3) Radion Gen 5 (probably blue)

4) idk. Skimmer, fuge, apex and neptune dosing.

5) return pump, gyre, and echotech powerhead

6) Automated dosing

1: sump
2: waterbox or preferably something custom but wouldn’t know who
3: Either the Giesemann Spectra with Orphek bars or all LED with Coralcare
4: I would get one of turbo aquatic sump with his scrubber and a deltec skimmer, all apex gear
5: Reef varios return pump. Mp60 or mp40 depending on tank size
6: really happy with everything in my tank, maybe eventually change to deltec skimmer but like my current one

Options
1) sump system

2) Waterbox Peninsula or Nuvo Drop Off

3) ATI led & t5 powermodule wifi combo

4) leviathan as first choice , or definitely trigger

5) water movement : gyre and adjustable return pump

6) Auto water change - like 20% fresh saltwater dripped over 7 days to overflow into a drain

So let’s set it out like this
Options
1) Sumped system (No question)

2) Custom Elos/Miracles/Reef Savvy (I'll never buy a stock tank again)

3) lights : 250W MH/LED combo

4) sumps : I actually already have my dream sump and wouldn't change it for anything. (Custom Adaptive Reef)

5) water movement : Closed loop run with multiple Abyzz/Red Dragon pumps

6) the one upgrade you wish you had made on your current system: I only wish I had made it one foot longer and a touch wider for a 72" L x 36" W x 18" H Tank.

Ok,
1. Sump
2. Red Sea
3. Red Sea Reef LED 90
4. Sump that comes with the Red Sea tanks are great.
5. Maxspect Gyre, or the new Red Sea Wave (bonus is the Red Sea Reef Beat app controls both lights and waves).
6. Change my AI Hydras to Reef LEDs

I have the Red Sea E-260 with sump upgrade, so a bit biased
