Hey r2r guys been researching for the past six or seven months on setting up my first Coral and trying to get some information on what's needed a kindly have a 55 gallon wrong that I use for freshwater and really interested in doing the sump method just want to get some info from you guys and what I should do has the tank that I have is tempered glass so I'm not drilling and I don't want to hang on the back filter my current shows that I have for my freshwater is a canister as I'm no fan of all the clutter above the tank which takes away from the aesthetics of the look any suggestions on equipment

Howdy
You will need a return pump for the sump. The size will depend on your over flow box. If you cant drill then your option is a hang on the back overflow. I know " hang on the back" is not what you wanted to hear. They come in different over flow volumes (gph). This is the volume the box can handle at max flow.
Then figure in a skimmer for the sump.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like your best bet is an HOB overflow for the sump. At least they have a smaller footprint than an HOB filter. You may consider a new or gently used tank from the start. If you decide that the HOB is not what you want, it's much more difficult and risky to change out you system after it's established.
