This is a guess but maybe they just pooped? Regarding moving corals in general, animals can have "off days" just like the rest of us and can look very different one day to the next. SOme I have seen seem to be responding to outside weather conditions. There are variables we can't easily messure or track corals may respond to, so it's usually not a good idea to move them around just be cause they looked different than the day before. Patience is a virtue and often doing nothing is the best choice.
