Ive had a green flower pot coral In my 72 gal for about 6 months now, and it will not seem to fully open. It's base is about 3" in diameter, and the polyps only seem to extend about 1" at most and it's usually around 75% of the total polyps. Aside from the that it looks healthy, flesh is entirely covering the skeleton, no bleaching, it has plenty of space from other coral, which are all doing fine, and my water parameters are spot on. Ive tried a few different placements but I feel I'm getting it wrong. I have a single 300 gph power head and T8 lighting. Any help would be appreciated.

They like to be fed .I would proably blow some air on it and dip it see if that helps

They take awhile to acclimate but not that long. If your water is fine then placement is not what it likes. I have several and they like low to medium lighting and a medium flow that causes the polyps to sway. How old is your tank?

What wattage is your lighting and the size of your tank to tell if the pump and lighting is enough

72 gallon bowfront, absolutely about 8 months old. 300 gph powerhead, 46" T8 lighting with 10,000k daylight and actinic 420

Sorry that should have said "tank is about 8 months old". If it is placement that's the problem, how long should I wait for it to come around after moving it before I try a different spot?
