Hi all!

not sure if this is the correct place for this post first of all [emoji28] [emoji28] [emoji28]

I'd like to put lighting under my cabinate so I can see everything without using my phone for a light or waiting till my fuge light kicks on. I would like to do it via my apex but how.

can y'all happy reefers post some how to or post a link on how they did it. pics would be awesome!!

Funny timing...I just set mine up a couple weeks ago. I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but here's what I did.

You'll need a magnetic switch for your cabinet door. I used the ones in this link:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009SUEZY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Simply wire it to your breakout box. Your cabinet light gets plugged in to one of the powerbar outlets. Then you'll program that outlet to be ON when the switch is either open or closed position, depending on how you wire it.

My programming is below, but I used two of them - one on either side of my peninsula stand. In my case I have removable panels but it will work with doors too. So I have one wired to be normally open and the other to be normally closed. That way, I can remove either side and the light will come on. It takes two spots on the breakout box but I had the room.

Here is my programming for what it's worth. I'm not tech savvy at all but ended up figuring it out. Again, I'm sure there are other ways to accomplish this, and maybe even an easier way. But this is working for me.

thanks dude! doesn't look to complicated. I actually found a magnetic switch with a no/nc relay built in so no need for the breakout box configure. [emoji4]
