Under tank matting

You need a sturdy piece of plywood first, then a piece of rigid foam. I use foamular from the home depot.

Do NOT use rubber of any type.

I came in to post about foamular. It's brilliant and dirt cheap. I use it under all my larger tanks. It has a very slight give on framed tanks. Not much, just enough to even out the pressure across any irregularities.

Anybody remember when cardboard was the standard? Back then I had access to closed cell neoprene (wetsuit material) so always used that instead. But the rigid foam seems to be much better and more stable.

Bump,

Looking to put foamular down then 3/4" plywood and then rimmed tank. foamular to even out and bumps to keep plywood flat.
