I am setting up a 90 gallon mixed reef with a 30 gallon sump
It will be mostly corals(non sps) and inverts a few fish ( will add sps down the road)
Thinking going bare bottom mixed crushed coral/shells in the sump for bacteria
Right now I have a sca-301 skimmer that's rated up to 65 gallons, with proper water changes will this skimmer work until I get a bigger one?
Also thinking of adding a ats in the sump
I have read about the non-skimmer tanks that are doing good and I have seen tank's that use just canister filters
So Im thinking it might work but wanted to get some opinions
