Underwater holding putty

I’m back...what is a putty I can use to hold my rock structure together that I can put into my tank and not mess up any of my levels? Or will I have to pull out my rock islands for any putty and just make my burrowed rebuild their structures?

Do to the special care of some of the creatures I take, don’t worry about price. My tank staying stable during this procedure is more important than price

Aquamend is good but I only suggest using putty if your rocks arent stable. I set mine up so I can push on my rocks and nothing shifts. Therefore I have no worried about fish or inverts moving anything lol.
But yeah, back to your question. I have used Aquamend before when making weird rock formations and it holds good. I know other people who also like it

My urchin wasn't terrible with pushing stuff. However he ate about 6 of my zoas so he is now in my sump until I get to my LFS and can get rid of him.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that complaint. What kind did you get as I only have Zoas and mushrooms?

I just recently used milliput. I threw an airstone in the tank just incase and it worked for me. I did not see an adverse affect on my parameters. I got three packages from amazon pretty cheaply. And so far it is holding strong.

Mine was a pincushin urchin, however I hear about longspine urchins doing it a lot as well. Tuxedo urchins are safe though

That just upset me as I was getting one specifically for their relationship with cardinals.

I was informed that my tank may have been a little too clean for it. I don't have a ton of algae since I skim well and have low stocking and even though I put nori in he still went for it. However I may have gotten screwed by the person who gave it to me. He said he didn't want it because it was moving corals and I have a hunch it may have already had a taste for them when I got it. However mushrooms are a different story. I just recently got some really cool ricordeas and he just climbed all over them and two of them detached. Honestly I say just try it and see what happens. If you get lucky he will behave perfectly and if not you can just return him

Mine didn't ever poke anything, just climbed over all my corals and snacked on my brand new zoas. He did however pick up some snails and hermits and carry them around which they didn't seem to enjoy but they didn't get hurt lol

Look on Amazon for "thermoplastic beads" or "moldable plastic pellets" (it's the same stuff that's sold as some reef-specific products). You melt it in hot water, and it hardens solid when it cools (and can be remelted if necessary). I've used it for holding rockwork together as well as for mounting frags to rock, and it's much nicer to deal with than epoxy putty, and doesn't make my skimmer freak out like epoxy does.

I'll look at these, as I forgot to mention that I don't have a sump. thanks for the input

I use E-Marco 400 it's hydraulic acrylic so it dry's underwater also
