Underwater radio controlled cameras !!!

hi ,
Why has no one done this yet .... I’ve been checking on that interweb thing , and was surprised to see almost nothing , i would have thought with today’s tech it would be more available.( might just be me!)
I’ve only been able too find one that would be kind of suitable but even that’s a little big for most , probably ... are there no budding model makers out there to take up the challenge, what would your idea be submarine type or fish like .... would love too hear other people’s thoughts or info if you know of something available already like this .. or am I being a little over optimistic in someone creating or developing something like this for our aquariums ... I think it would be kind of cool !!!

It’s a cool idea. Unfortunately radios wave are very quickly attenuated by water. It is probably possible but you’d have to be right by the tank.

There is/was a Kickstarter our there at one point for a camera you could control that was mounted like an algae magnet. Not sure what ever happened to that.

Well my idea was that you would stand by the tank and via an app or controller be able to do a fly by of your reef and record it and get a fish eye view ... I’ve seen the magnet one and that is quiet expensive .. I have a fishkam I bought cheap when they first came out , but that sits on the outside .. here’s a link to the one I mentioned in OP ,

Might be hard to control with the pumps on haha! There are toy subs you can buy. Stick a go pro on it and give it a go

I was looking for something like that too. I don’t think action camera would work unless all you want to do is recording. I discovered endoscope option with recent hd upgrade. I mkught try that and see whether I could control it in the wavy water!
