Undetectable Phosphates???

Low PO4 for my tank hurts my delicate sps really bad. I find that anywhere from .20-.40ppm of PO4 keeps my sticks growing at a consistent level. If I notice my Alk and Cal numbers creeping up, I suspect my PO4 has dropped below .08 and my sps growth slows down drastically. I’m usually right once I test it. Then I go ahead and dose Flourish, my Alk consumption starts to rise, and my sticks picked up where they left off. Took me awhile to figure it all out, but now I have it dialed in. KEEP YOUR TANKS DIRTY!!!!
That's great to hear...pls share what is ur tank size and how much r u dosing Flourish, i.e. amount and frequency? Also, what is ur skimmer schedule?

In my 93 Cube (80gal water volume) dosing 10ml of Flourish brings my PO4 up .15ppm. I dose that twice a week when I see my PO4 drop below .08. I'm not really on a schedule with it since I can get my PO4 up without Flourish sometimes since I feed my fish heavy. Also cleaning out the tons of hair algae I get in my overflow shoots it up since it absorbs soo much of it. My skimmer is on wet right now 24/7. Just the other day my PO4 went from .40 down to .08 in 4 days. This happens often when I get algae build up in the overflow and or cyano sometimes.

I have same tank size with ttl water vol of 87 gal and my new dosing amount 3ml/day (21ml/week) is almost equal to your 10ml twice/week, so I'll keep at it and hopefully it'll raise my PO4.

Question then is does it matter whether Flourish is dosed daily vs biweekly?

After 4 days of increasing dose to 3ml and skimmer turned off, PO4 is finally at 0.05!!!! So for 87 water volume 20-21ml/week seems to be magic #

How much flourish do you dose and what size is your tank? I’m kind of in the same situation.

If you want to dose phosphate, which is a fine idea, I recommend food grade sodium phosphate . It is cheaper than has a purity assurance the Seachem product lacks.
