Why does uneaten food turn pink in my aquarium? It does it in a matter of hours, it doesnt matter the brand or type of food.

The aquarium is new by the way.

I assume some type of cyano, but havent read of someone else having this "problem"

What lights do you have? If you take the food out under natural light, is it still pink.

Let's see if the #reefsqaud can help.

Yes its still pink, i have a 50/50 white/blue.

I don’t know, I never get any uneaten food, if it is actually lying around you might be feeding to much anyway.

Dont feed anymore than the fish/critters will eat in a few minutes, as apart from turning ‘pink’ it will start to break down and affect the water quality

Its a newly cycled tank with 2 clownfish. Since they are new, they still dont eat well, so i added just a little
