I think this is pretty self explainitary but I wanted to run it by you all first. I have a dual return that I think I plumbed incorrectly. Also, please let me know if I can add a Squid or similar to a dual return with a herbie overflow....

If you have one return jet pushing out noticeably more water than the other, you could add in a gate or ball valve to the side that has more flow to push more water to the other return nozzle to even out the flow, it will restrict your gallons per hour a bit. But water will always try to take the path of least resistance aka the shorter route ;)

I was just thinking that... thanks for making it make sense! Is the squid on a return pump worth it?

Not sure I know what you mean? The squid on a return pump.

Well look at that. I didnt know such a device existed. It does reduce your gallons per hour a bit, but if it's something you're interested in trying I say go for it :) I've always relied on my power heads for random flow, but in a small to medium tank this would be something that could be utilized :)
So i have over killed it and the budget... I have a Cor 20 on a 60 gallon with a sump in the stand ( I wanted to run a manifold). I also have 2 Wav pumps to manipulate flow. Maybe I should just valve it lol... ;Nailbiting

Lol, sounds like a plan

I used the squid a while back. Hated it. Always getting clogged up. Puts sizable back pressure on the pump as well.

Flip your T valve is the simplest solution. Then neither line has a straight shot. Right now one has a straight shot and the other doesn’t
