Uneven Growth

Interesting right. Have no idea why my clam is only growing in the front half of the shell. Has anyone seen anything like it?

Here is a photo. From the middle to front scute there is growth. On the back scute no growth.

IMO is because he is not facing upwards. Growing like this eventually he will be.
