My porcelain crab abandoned his anemone last night in favor of a tiny squamosa clam. Has anyone ever seen this before? I can't imagine the clam is a happy willing host since the crab is pretty large compared to it. I thought maybe he jumped ship because he was molting, but I have not found his molt yet. Somehow the anemone looks sad, like it knows it's being cheated on. Excuse the bad pic, they are in a horrible spot to photograph.
Should I try and seperate them somehow or just see what happens? I could keep the crab in an acclimation box for the time being if needed, if I could even reach him with my T Rex arms that is

wow 4 years is long for them isn't it? I think i recall seeing 2 as the norm. I'll give it another day or 2 and see what he does. Maybe the anemone will be able to coax him back into her arms!
