Hey everyone

At first my partner was not interested at all in this hobby, however, lately he has been getting into it to the point that he actually also brings corals home (he does his research first, thankfully!!)
So far I've been gifted a nice reversed bleeding apple Scolly, and a colony of green hammers.

Here is where it gets a little annoying. Everything in the tank is happy and looks good. I have a little acan garden, some montis, the Scolly, two euphyllia colonies and a little maze coral frag.

The euphyllia coral he gifted me however has one head that is not happy at all. To the point that the skeleton is exposed. I don't spot any slimyness on the head, and the rest of the colony looks happy and puffed up (see picture) this has been going on for a few weeks might I add.

Tank: red sea max nano, running with the ReefLed 50 and a Tunze 9001 skimmer for 6 months now.

Parameters
Sal:1.025
T: 25°c (~77F)
NO3: 2.5
PO4: <0.03 (but not zero)
KH: 8.4
Mg: 1200
Ca: 410

Initially I didn't worry too much about this.l, because it's just one head and the rest of the colony looks fine. However, my partner is NOT happy about this at all and is making me feel very stressed about this.

Question
-is it abnormal for just one head not to feel happy? If the rest of the colony is happy it shouldn't be the biggest deal, right? Thoughts?
-is there anything I can do? Planning on dipping the coral in Revive and right now I already brought down the current in the tank. Also trying to give some extra care to this specific head (feeding some pellets/plankton)

Any input is welcome and greatly appreciated

Looks great to me! I dont really see the head that is not opened though in the picture.

Going through something similar. I pulled it out and gave it a quick dip in some Coral RX.

Your Mg is very low BTW. you want that around 1350
