I do have a rbta that I QTed for 16 days, he started to lose colour and shrank towards end of qt, then when I moved him to my dt he was brown closed up and never opened again. I tried to feed him a few times small pieces of frozen fish that he did try to eat, I thought he was going to die weeks ago because he stayed brown shrinked up never extending his tentacles. This is the status quo for about a month now, but he is still alive and walking all over the tank every night. Phosphate and Nitrate just measurable so not zero. Reef LED90’s. What I want to know is if I should continue to try and feed him a small piece of fish once a week or something else or just let him be and hope he recovers and survive? Time laps video of him trying to swallow a small piece of frozen fish

Not 6 months Should I leave it alone and see if it survive or try to feed it? Tank Parameters are stable.

Anemones do better in more mature tanks ..so 12months or more . .they need a lot of light did you have enough light on the QT tank . So long as hes still got colour not bleached ...and hes still attaching with his foot he should be fine ..the rs leds are enough light for him what settings are you running ...they need more light than food ...I never feed mine ..only what he gets when I feed my fish

He had enough light in the qt and I am running 2x RS LED 90s at 90% for about 10 hours, including an hour for ramp up and an hour for ramp down, a day in a RS 350 with a 3 hour lunar cycle. He is a dark brown colour at the moment, his foot is attached but he does still walk around especially at night. Every morning he is in a different spot

Sounds very stressed. I've never quarantined a nem before, never even heard of it. Just as long as he's not floating around or expelling the rest of his zooanthella you should be okay. These things usually take about 7-10 days to die so it sounds like you're in the clear there. If he starts melting, make you to take him out quickly, first signs would be tentacles falling off. Also make sure you don't have an aggressive clown harassing it while it recovers. BTAs tend to like to anchor their foot under an overhang and the extend into the light. If you don't have an area like that you might want to try and set him one up.
Good luck.

I do have a lot of overhang and he did move to the side of an overhang, I will just wait and give him time and space to do his thing. Thanks for the info, will update

Maybe the QT made him unhappy? I checked out your lights and they are very strong Red Sea so I'm surprised. Mine is also in a small immature tank, tropic marin (classic) salt, 76 degrees, under Kessil a160we (only 40 watts) and is really happy. He was angry for first 2 days and moved right away but now still and blossoming. No QT. Seems to love his new spot. I give him PE Mysis and about 85% brightness on the A160we for 8 hours. Make sure you are hitting him with a ton of strong light, give him some PE Mysis. Flow is pretty strong (it's in a Nuvo with a Mightyjet). I also have 2 UNhosted clowns in there so perhaps he can sense that and thinks they are feeding him?
