Hi,

got this weird algae type stuff in my rock surface any ideas?

Can you take a picture under white light? Looks like dinoflagellettes

Oh that is weird... doesn't look like dinos anymore

They look like hydroids to me, you can see their fans in the one picture. They look like clove polyps without any coloration or yellow coloration.

You think, you can see some fans on the picture and on them but a lot of photos of hydroids look different so really unsure!

put your hand in and see if they sting, if they do look out, if they don’t then don’t worry about it. Without knowing more I can only guess.
