Brought in a sun coral which had some of these in the bag. Dipped and thought I got them all. Just started poking around my qt and found these. Any ideas? I dipped a rock with three of them. Blasted with a turkey baster and they didn't seem to move.

It looks very much like some form of baby Sun Corals/Dendrophyllias ....yellow exterior skin, dark orange in the mouth/center area :D

Especially the protruding sideview of the "sun coral" from the hand held Torch coral picture ... just my observation
When you look closely it does look like a polyp...

I'm going with sea munnkey on this one. It does look like a baby suncoral when zoomed in.

Around 10 years ago - I got a small pieces of living rocks with a small yellow spot like these. After a while i had a fully developed sun coral - I could be the same. I had this in a small aquaria with a filter sponge. What I did was to squeeze this in the tank every evening.

Sincerely Lasse

Thanks for the responses. It was my opinion that these were baby suncoral as well. Just wanted to rule out pest before I thransfer to display.

I'm on board with baby sun coral polyps! Especially the last pic.
