I'm used to having occasional Cyano blooms, but this stuff looks different. Very soft, easy to dislodge with a brush or bulb syringe. Absolutely exploding on rock surfaces and snail shells. Tony the Hawkfish is very disgruntled, as you can see. I will be running chemistries later to check levels. Do have a UV filter running. Haven't noticed any crabs eating this (Emeralds, Pitho, Hermits, etc).

How old is your tank
Started off as a 55g in February. Upgraded to a 60g a couple of months ago. Current stock is a tomato clown, BTA, two hawkfish, a damsel fish, a scallop, two urchins, a coral-banded shrimp, plus a variety of snails, crabs, and corals. A few types of macro algae.
