Started my 45 gallon about 3 months ago ... and I came across a few things I do not know what it is... would be helpful if anybody could help me identify these things... one is reddish tentacles coming out of the sand bed and the other one I don't know how to explain it.

My best guess is the tentacles are a small or micro star, good to have. But seeing more of it would make ID easier.

The white stuff looks to me like some kind of sponge, given all the holes.

Now lets see what others think.

This will be no help, but the bottom one reminds me of a monkey - it has a little pink face.

I agree second one is a sponge of some sort. :)

Pic one is probably a spaghetti worm. These are a fun thing to have and not a problem.
I have seen the other on here before but don't remember what it is.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the help

In the first picture at about 12:00 in the circle is a vermetid snail. I would get rid of that one and any others you see. I have seen tanks where they covered the rocks.
