UnidentifiedAlgae or bacterial in my tiny saltwater tank

So I’ve got this very tiny saltwater tank running purely with sand, rock and a purple dottyback back in it.

the reason I set this up is because the dottyback is so aggressive making my main tank inhabitants overly stressed.

However after a few weeks of setting up this tiny tank ( around 10L ) I noticed some algae or bacterial stuff keep growing everyday. Looks not like diatom or hair algae though.

Wondering if anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it? Not sure if snails eat them?

Welcome to R2R. It's likely dinos or cyano or a mix - but more importantly those rocks are white and it looks like the tank is still very new. Call it "new tank uglies", and let the system mature and be patient. If nuisance algae looks bad, just suction it out.

Definitely +1 to above with being in the ugly stages. If you added a new rock to the small dotty tank it is most likely in a mini cycle.

What are your parameters?
