Thought it was time to support and check out a couple of R2R Sponsors again and one in particular being a Literary fan of Scott Fellman. Not being a fan of micro sized stick fragments that somehow have become the 'norm' and reading from both happy customers and Scott's similar disdain for them I ordered a large Bali Deepwater Combo Colony and a nice sized 2-1/2" stick of ORA 'Fuzzy Yellow' Aquacultered Coral and since I met FREE Shipping amount a very reasonable price on a single head of Orange/Gold Branching Hammer (E. parancora) to add to a mixed colony in the works for my Frag Tank.

The box was very well packed and even kind of purdy with the blue UNIQUE labeling, water temp still warm upon unpacking and nice clear water in bags. The big combo colony 5"x3"x4" was quadruple bagged in approx a gallon of water and only had a few small FedEx fragged branches other wise pristine condition and even hosting a healthy Acro Crab. The ORA was very nice right out of the bag except for the ORA plugs which I DO NOT LIKE not fitting into 1/2"+ holes in Frag Racks like all others do... lol. The single head of Euphyllia had a few polyp tips loose in the bag but was pretty much fully inflated/recovered by next morning. a FREEBIE in the box though perfectly healthy was a M. spongodes that I have an abundance of so will be a 'PIF' to someone else down the road. I acclimated and dipped in a slightly overdosed Coral R/X solution and inspected well, no surprise that all was clean. I did or was able to safely remove Acro Crab and put him back into colony after well rinsed post dip.

Now for the pics (cell phone), first is the box as received

Overall, very impressed and as expected from UC's long history of doing it right. Most definitely will order from Unique Corals again.

Cheers, Todd

Hi Todd,

Thanks for the kids words and review!

We're glad you like our box...We think it's one of the more, ahem- unique ones out there, incorporating our logo into the design. We get a lot of people asking if they can just buy one of our boxes to store stuff in...really!

I have to laugh about the ORA plug..A lot of customers like what they stand for- but hate those plugs! Forgot to let you know that we are happy to trim off the pin of an ORA plug (or any plug), if our customers request! I also want to let you know that, even though they make a fair number of frags for us, the guys at Fed Ex don't really have the consistency thing down, LOL.

And of course, we send you a bonus of the coral that you have already...grr...you long-time reefers have EVERYTHING! Sheesh! Glad you're "paying it forward", though...Next time, we'll find something very obscure for your bonus coral, LOL!

Thanks again, Todd! We appreciate your support and kind words!
