He's is eating. Will definitely get out the general cure and give him a round. Thank you sir!Yes a Canthigaster coronata, aka Saddle Puffer, grows to about 5", a bit less in captivity. His stomach looks a bit sunken and they do come in with internal parasites frequently. If he is eating it would be a good idea to add general cure or metroplex with focus to food.
I had a valentini and it was great. Probably 6 months before he decided to go carpet surfing in the middle of the night. My fiance was devastated, and I'm now in the process of putting together a jump guard for my rimless tank to make sure it doesn't happen again. He was very active always hovering around checking things out. Barely nipped at any of my coral, and for the most part he just ate the Rods food that I feed the rest of my tank. I mixed in some table shrimp and half shell clams for him to keep the teeth worn down. He was about 2-1/2" and didn't really grow much in size the time I had him.Might be a Coronata. Fully grown it gets to 5.5” and develops some blue. Hawaiian endemic. You had a Valentini before? What was your experience with it, how big was it when you got it and how long did it live for? Was it easy to feed and keep?
