Hi all, I am a 3rd year Industrial Engineer and am currently busy with a project for my on module called Thermofluid Dynamics. I have to design the life support system (filtration and heat Exchange system) For a 72 000 liter aquarium. I was just wondering if there is anyone who would be able to lend me their knowledge for this project as I have no idea about aquariums and don’t know how to choose the best filters, pumps, heat exchangers, etc. Any help would be much appreciated please! Kind regards, Kirsten.

72 000 l of water is around 19 000 G - haven´t we seen this question before :p ?

Can´t you two work together? It seems like you study the same university course :D

Main concern - IMO - material choice and that one of the specification is wrong. Evaporation does not need any water change (only filling up with new freshwater). Depending on filtration system - need of water change will vary.

The rest is normal Engineer stuff ..........

Sincerely Lasse
