Unknown coral?!

Hi guys,
There is coral looking (or it is a coral) fast spreading thing in my tank. Could you please advise what it is? Pest, coral or something else ?

Looks like a clove polyp of some sort. Generally not considered a pest.

Clove polyps. pest. Imo anything that grows too fast is a pest

If left unchecked, it can easily overgrow your entire tank. I consider it to be an invasive pest and act accordingly.

I'm not sure that I would say that...

Honestly though, no coral grows so fast that a proactive reefer can't keep them under control

That depends on just how proactive you want to be. I prefer a tank that is more hands-off. I feed daily (usually), top off as needed, and do water changes every 6 weeks or so.
