Unknown crustacean pest!! Please help i.d.!!

hello reefers,

I need help identifying what these things are they don't have any punchers for mouth or anything . I was removing a piece of bubble algae and saw these on the under side of a frag plug I have a mushroom on the the side of the frag plug that sits in the sand. The coral doesn't look affected at all by these so I just think they may be some crustacean hitchhiker they had kinda of a hard case on the back side when I pushed on it and just shot out some guys like red almost looked like a tick. Please help!!!

Too bad I got rid of them already !! I wonder if I slip more frag plugs over if they are on them also. Do you know if they multiply fast or anything ?

That's exactly what they are just googled it deffintly chitones . Kinda cool hitchhiker.

They sound like a Spanish dish lol. Seems they can be eaten should of saved them and fed them to my room mate!

There food source will determine there numbers. IME they don't multiply very fast to where it's an issue.
