Hello all
I have had a young clown fish in QT for 5 weeks (always medicate with cupramine) and the fish is healthy, eatting and had no visible markings or illness.

So, i introduced him to my main DT yesterday and today i have noticed that in the blue light, there seems to be a film of white power all over his body. In the white light you cant see anything at all and the fish is fine but it only shows in the blue. I have had ick and velvet in the past and it looks nothing like this. The powder is so much smaller than ick. I have taken him out of the DT and he is back in quarantine.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? I cant take any pictures because it doesnt show up on camera it is that fine.

From your description, the clown either has a bacterial infection which can show as a white-whiteish filmy area or Brooklynella. Both of which can be bad news and can look similar in early presentations. Here's a link to a series of pictures of fish diseases: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/fish-disease-index-pictorial-guide.285708/#post-3473098
Right, whats the best way to treat it? There was a few options on there and by the sounds of things, i dont have time to try things out.
Thanks for the help by the way
