Had one of these attached to the base of a hammer coral frag i purchased about a year and a half ago. These have now multiplied like crazy all over my tank never getting much larger than an eraser on a pencil. I tried to find these on the Internet and some books i have and cannot identify them. Any ideas?

Weird. Are they firm or spongy or soft?

They look like some kind of clove polyps but I have sponges seen doing this as well.
I think clove polyps are usually connected and live in groups. The one picture that i posted with them in a row is unlike the other 30 or so all over the tank completely by themselves.

Welcome to post on R2R
Any way you could get a closer pictures?
My guesses would be
dunkin
clove polyp
Palm tree polyp
kind of cool how they line up.

Would love to see another image with less blue and more white light. They almost look like a Rhodactis.
