I recently purchased some monando live rock from premium aquatics and found several ( 15) of these guys growing on my live rock. I think they are some sort of LPS like Balanophyllia or even a rhizotrocus. Maybe a torch? I'm puzzled because I saw something similar posted on rare reef and wanted anyones input that can help.

Thanks,

I'm wondering if yours (and the RR one) are a species of Galaxea. The polyp shape seems right, and if they're young they may not have had time to form a colony yet. I'm not 100% sure on the ID, but that's my best guess.

Umm if it look like anything like this pic then kill em ASAP!! They will take over the tank n harm the coral. From my understanding they belong in the same family of the apitasia species. I could be wrong I kill mine when it started to spread in my old tank
