I disagree, scroll corals have larger round polyps. If you look up a pachyseris coral it looks very similar and is an sps.

Looks like Pachyseris possibly speciosa..

Pachyseris (yours looks like P. foliosa) is pretty rare - probably because they don't show up too often with much color IME. I.e. No demand. As their namesake "Elephant Skin Coral" (which is always what I've seen them sold as) would suggest...shades of gray and brown are very common. Grows like a Monti. cap and fairly hardy from what I know.

Sprung's "Corals - A Quick Reference Guide" indicates meduim-low to medium-high light, low to medium-high flow and suggests mounting medium to low in the tank. Also says it is known (among other things) as "Scroll Coral", though I've never seen it for sale that way.

I highly recommend this book, BTW. Short, yet infinitely handy as a reference.

From Veron's "Corals of the World", Pachyseris are in family Agariciidae. Within this family Pavona, Leptoseris are the other well-known memnbers along with four other lesser known ones. From thumbing through the pictures, there are many species in this family that could easily be mistaken for Pachyseris.

Hope this helps!

Thanks helps a lot and in fact I was wondering about the color situation due to the fact that since I have had it it has tripled in size but does sport a light green glow to it. Nothing compared to my other corals but the color is coming in.

as stated above, medium to high light. its actually fairly hardy. mine fell on a forgspawn during a tank transfer a few month ago, half of it died but it is recovering nicely.

it is 'rare' but like stated above but mine never colored to anything greater than a slight greenish hue. cool coral and everyone always asks what it is when they see my tank but there just isnt much of a demand

only one i have is the day i brought it home lol..which was about 1.5-2 years ago

yeah the color is that off putting there is a light green coloration to mine and it is getting better as it grows plus I had a hawk fish that I just recently lost in my move and he loved to perch on it which was just awesome! I am thinking about moving it to my nano and hopefully a clown gobie will do the same!
