Unknown SPS Bleaching?

Hello everyone,
I have this sps that im not sure what it is. I also dont know if its bleaching or not. If someone could give me some insight that would be awesome. Its just the one sps, its not starving for nutrients i know that.

It has all of its color once the blues come on but during the day it looks pretty white. My only question is.. Why is the base brown which normally means its not getting enough light? Anyone?

It is an acropora...possibly a latistella or something similar. So you say you have high nutrients can you list your parameters ie Ca, Alk, Mag, NO3, PO4, salinity? How long have you had it for? Stability is the utmost importance with acros.

I bought it at RAP NY it was green but slowly turned lime green to this. Stability isn't the issue. It just doesn't look like the graveyard of acros I have bleached before

I've had bleached Acro's survive while others never make it. Keep your chemistry as stable as possible. Any other Acro's bleaching or just this one?

One of two things come to mind. Lack of nutrients/low NO3 or par level too high or both.

Brown at base and pale at the top could indicate that it has gone into
photoinhibition and lost a great deal zooxanthellae at the top, but hasn't lost all of it where it is shaded.

Did you light acclimate it when you got it? What par is it receiving?

I would place it lower in the tank and see if it recovers.

Its literally just that one. I have a wwc blueberry fields frag directly next to it and it is super colorful as well is my other acros.

I'd give it less light till it recovers. It's still on a frag plug so it shouldn't be to hard to move.
