It does look like it has a body under the rock so maybe! OP do you see a disk the “worm” is attached to? Its just a quarter sized circle that would be the star’s body

It looks like a bristleworm actually! Ugly little things but usually harmless.

If its a bristle worm or serpent star both are harmless to fish. Does look like a bristleworm but if it does have a disk then its probably a brittle star
