This zoanthid frag arrived 1 wk. ago from a r2r form member, but has not yet opened up. I saw these sweepers protruding from the rock today. Any clue what I am dealing with here and what is the best course of action? Video link below:

Hard to see this under such heavy blues.... (Just kidding, this has to be the best ID photo I've seen).

Is it a spaghetti worm of some sort? The long tentacles coming out make me think maybe so? I would not expect them to annoy zoas though.

What dipping method did you use? I would be surprised is this survived the one two punch of revive and 1:3 dilution of drug store peroxide in tank water.

I dipped revive, but not peroxide.

It certainly could be a spaghetti worm and the zoas could be closed up for some other reason, but those sweepers sure look to be annoying the one open polyp.

Thanks for the compliment. You had me starting to get defensive about the blue light ;).

I just noticed a few more of these pests on the other zoa frags. The zoas are angry wherever the sweepers are. Another 15 minute revive dip did not remove the pest.

Any clue what this is?
