I’m new to the whole saltwater reef tank world. I had a somewhat unlucky start. My first 55 gal. tank sprung a leak after 75 days. Replaced & started all over & one day before introducing fish the replacement tank leaked 30 gal. of saltwater on my floor while I was at work. Totally cut out & removed factory caulk & re-caulked entire tank. Filled & it’s been three weeks & so far so good. I have a question for any willing listeners out there. I have natural coral in the tank & am wondering if I can place my aqua-cultured rocks in tank or if this will negatively affect the cured coral & will the algae growing on the rock be beneficial to my overall system?
Thx, “Unlucky Starter”

That is very unfortunate

Welcome to R2R!!!

To Katrina71's comment above... Were these leaky tanks all on the same stand? Did they occur on the same place in both tanks? If you get another leak, I suspect the stand is not flat or has a stress point.

Hopefully your luck turns around.
