That is going to look really nice.I just added a vinyl background to my tank, and picking out font to do a decal on the front
I think it's about time to start my build thread!
Join the madness! This makes me want to bring mine back.
I just might, I really enjoyed my last one before I had to take it down.Join the madness!

Yay! I'm happy you're in for the fun! It'll be super awesome to see what you're all coming up with on start day.I've ordered one
I'm in the UK so wont be in the running for the prize but have always liked the look of these and this is a good excuse to give it a go!
Fingers crossed it arrives in time!
Do you have a count how many are in the competition so far?Yay! I'm happy you're in for the fun! It'll be super awesome to see what you're all coming up with on start day.
I don't, but I might have to take the time to go back and count people. I hadn't been because I figure there'll be a handful of people that drop out or forget to join. I'm sort of just excited to see how many people show up on start day lolDo you have a count how many are in the competition so far?
I’m not a huge fan of the way the return nozzle fits into the tank. It seems like it would leak.Got my tank in today from AliExpress WAY earlier then shipping expected date of October 6th. It seems their is a magic place is china called sesame street, IL that ships super quick.... Maybe Super Grover dropped it off?

Mine arrived packed well and in good condition, I went for the black tank with blue light LED. The blue light has 12000 LM so I believe I may stay with it. If I find something in the 20000 LM range that isn't going to just blast the tiny tank, or feel that the LM rating on the light is over estimated I may upgrade later.
The stock pump is 110 l/h (29g) and falls on the size range or 1 1/2"x1 1/3"x 1 1/8" this pump has a 1/3" nozzle. I do not really like this set up for return and will be trying to figure out a modification before water is in it.
I'll wait till October to start any modifications per the rules of the competition.
I do not have any current tanks set up so I am starting with a dry scape and sand. Sadly living in the middle of nowhere, and moving in mid October even further out into the plains, I have extremely limited resources lol. Hopefully I will be able to cycle well to catch up with everyone who is using a more direct method.
Hope everyone gets their tanks just as quickly! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!
Yes very much so, I'd like to find a way to make it more of a closed system.I’m not a huge fan of the way the return nozzle fits into the tank. It seems like it would leak.
Awsome and funny. I actually reached out to tank.mods who then had me ask MiniCompleteTank themselves on what the PAR rating is for each setting. I also have been doing some digging online but now luck yet.Got my tank in today from AliExpress WAY earlier then shipping expected date of October 6th. tyet.there is no issue with the nozzle fits. The way it is built, even if it does leak, will drop back into the sump. I havent had any issues. If you do plan on making it more closed, I think the best would be to get long flexible tubing such as the thin airline and connecting and sealing to the tank with a nozzle. You can then use more rigid for the inside return of display. This will allow you to pull apart. Add a control valve to even stop any backsyphoning that can occur. I havent had any issues with mine as is. Just a bit messy if not careful.I’m not a huge fan of the way the return nozzle fits into the tank. It seems like it would leak.
