Pretty much just meh... Another fad in the hobby lately by small shops hurting for business with the bans.

Get a coral, put a name on it, give a select few some frags to post on R2R for hype, and call it a new release lolol. Profit?

I know nothing about corals so this is probably a stupid question.

How do people have frags of an unreleased coral? To me unreleased would me it has not been fraged yet.

One person has the original colony here in California he is a close friend of Reef Raft Canada. RRC sold him the colony that photo is the colony that he owns.

Lol better stock up now next year it will be in the thousand. There are no more high-end sps coming from Indo for the next 3 to 5 years. Soon Australia will join the ban then we can only get zoa n mushroom from Vietnam. Malaysian start to come in but the price is already high. I'm not surprising that high-end frag will cost 800$ next year. On that note just hoard another piece from Raymond count of Monte kristo

Many vendors will make some early cuts and sell/give(sometimes) them to their vip customers. I have an unreleased/unnamed from a collector that he threw in with a pack I purchased. I was also with this collector/seller at a show in town and we both purchased a couple of the same no name frags, so technically I have 2 more of his “unreleased”, as long as neither of them die.
