So yesterday I came across a fellow hobbyist who not only had the white crusty waterline on the inside of his aquarium but he also had a solution. I said, Dave how do you know that won’t scratch the glass?
He proceeded to fetch a new clean dry piece of “ steel wool “. I was helping him do a water change on his tank and so the water level was down about 5” from the top. He took a small section at the original waterline and began to rub gently on his glass tank. It disappeared without a scratch.
