Good morning, Reefers,

I have an upcoming build and I'm unsure which lighting to go with. Tank dimensions are 31"H x 44"L x 24"W it is a custom tank. I've researched a few lights and think i would be ok with the AP9X from Kessel based on their specs. I wanted to run it by some experts though. Do yall believe a single AP9X would provide coverage for my tank with enough penetration? If not, any suggestions are much appreciated!

What do you want to keep? It matters. I would not use a single ap9x for a 44" wide tank - at least two... but I don't use Kessil so take this with a grain of salt. If you need high light stuff, or want colonies, then the shadowing and lack of output on the edges of any LED is real - you need to double up on manufacturer recommendations for nearly all panels.

The manufacturer's says the recommended spread is 30". Fixture itself is 16" wide. I think you'll want 2. Or maybe 3 x 360s if you like Kessils. Unless you're not keeping Branching SPS.

It will be a mix reef tank with single big nsa tree in the middle. I'm really trying to find a single fixture. Idk why but it appeased my visual senses lol. How about the G6 pro or blue?

A single Radion won't cover anywhere near 44 inches.

Reefbreeders makes a 4' photon fixture.
