Unusual Blue Hippo behavior (see video)

My Blue Hippo has in the last 2 weeks started this strange behavior seen on video below. It pretty much all day swims up and down the front right corner of my tank. It seems happy, no flared fins, eats when food hits the tank. Anyone have a clue? Is it looking for a way to escape? Hard to believe since I've raised it since it was the size of a 25cent piece and now 5yrs later.

How big is the tank? I think your tang may have just entered maturity
and is now subsequently looking to range out and find mates. Ive run into this with almost every tang Ive kept.

For AC current you want to put it on V~ (600 or 200 will work). If you have any equipment that is 240v, use 600. Then use the middle port and the one on the right to plug your leads into.

Just test it by checking a receptacle to see if it is working properly. You should get 110-120v and you’re good to go.

Results....after grounding black to my light and putting red in the water

what does this mean?
1) a lot of stray voltage
2) nothing to worry about

weird. I've seen other fish do this all the time but not any of my hippos.

I don’t think you’re getting any stray voltage. That may be the resolution or accuracy of your meter. To be sure, is it possible for you to use the ground straight from the receptacle. I like to be sure and check from the source

Just a raondom thought but tangs and their lateral lines are sensitive to electrical current imo. Also if activated carbon dust is present its like turbo charged.

You are reading .1 volt AC (AKA 100 mvAC). Nothing to worry about. But as @Sparkymarc said try putting the black probe directly into the ground hole (third prong, round hole, NOT the straight slot holes) of the wall receptacle and the red probe into the tank water.
I doubt stray voltage is causing the BH to do this. I think he just wants to go on a little vacation.

Sometimes they do this because they lost their favorite spot or dont feel safe where they were.

Fish can act weird at times, in this case I wouldn't worry about it, it will pass.

I just want to make sure your ground is adequate. On another note, Blue Hippos can be weird.

I agree that this is unlikely related to an electrical issue. It seems your tank is grounded. I'm guessing you use titanium heaters.
