Seen this at the LFS, the structure is identical to the blue hypnea aka blue ochtodes, just not aware of seeing it in red before. What’s your toughs on this being red hypnea?

Looks like gracialara Lauris macro algae

Hypnea is a red algae genus - so maybe it can be a hypnea.

Sincerely Lasse

thanks lasse, it does looks like the same family as hypnea, blue ochtodes, one thing I noticed is that blue ochtodes goes red wend stressed and this one goes blue wend stressed.

It kinda looks different from blue hypnea, with all the protrusions on the "leaves". Almost looks like a Kenya tree coral.

according to this link it’s hypnea, there is 4 colour

Nice, are you gonna buy it?
Bought it yesterday, was growing on the back on a tank of a LFS that I’ve stopped by, they had this and a nice blue/purple fauchea macroalgae trying to plant my DT now that I’ve got rid of all the herbivores
