Unwanted pest help

Needing help identifying what is taking over my coral (white stuff around the bottom). Should I take it out and place it in a coral dip? I have tube snails as well.... can I remove the frag and place in coral dip to kill the pest?

Looks like a patch of star polyps from this angle which does well, but grows over everything. Does it have white/green tentacles when it opens? You would need to take it out and peel it out every last piece.

It is a green star polyp but what is the white growing in it? Picture imported funny it needs turned 90deg clockwise

It looks like a sponge growing in it.. Mine has a yellow sponge in it as well..

Can I take it out and dip in a coral dip to kill the sponge?
