Greetings Reefers,
I'm upsizing my current 40b to a drilled 75 with a sump in the next few months. in the change over process will the new setup cycle faster if when I am filling it I add in some water I remove from my 40b? once it is running I need to move over the liverock. Is there a hazard with adding in new sand/gravel/substrate? once I start moving over live rock, fish, gyre, ect how much time do I have to move the components over? Upsizing the tank I have to add in a bit more dry/or live rock to scape out the new build. is there any hazards associated with adding in new rock scape components that are not already cured or "live" in the current tank?
I plan on a few evenings of having both tanks up as I prepare for "moving day." Anyuone have any hints or tricks to make this easier? Thank you
Lance
