Upcoming 36 gal Bowfront reef build

The hammer has expanded nicely but I’m concerned about the tentacles around the edges drooping down as you can see in this picture. Can someone who has had a hammer chime in?

I used black poster paper from Walmart just tape it on . With that small of a tank two clowns or damsels would be all you need for your cycle . As soon as you see ammonia start 5 gallon water change a week. Thats it. Clean your filters . I do not put any chemicals in my tank . Once you get some coral in there that take up calcium . Kalkwasser drip if that can not keep up you will have to go to a 2 part. That is alot of sps and lps. Good luck. Do your research.

Did anyone put a cover of some type on the lid portion where the filter goes? To help keep water from splashing with fish. I have a canister filter and it’s hoses are there but it’s still pretty open.

I put a cover on mine, but it was a mesh cover and wouldn't stop water splashes. It was for keeping the fish from jumping out.

Yeah I thought about that but yep water still would splash out and evap would be a lot.

Also curious if anyone ever cut a bigger opening on the hood and hinged it. I saw the tank online and ordered it. Picked it up and saw tiny hole for feeding.
