Just let me know what you guys decide to do so I can post it on our website/Facebook/newsletter.

I'm in.

What he doesn't have any appointments available on Mondays or Tuesdays?

Well , I didnt ask. Since most of us work during the week, I figured a weekend would be better/ easier to find a date that works. Mondays and Tuesdays are out for me, but if it works for everyone else. Then thats OK.

No. I think it needs to be a weekend event.

Looks like it's just you and me Ted!!!!

We should throw up a specific post in regards to this here and elsewhere.

Well, I bet several other will want to go as well. Jamie- is it OK to have a sign up at the next meeting? After we determine real interest - I will call and see if weekend or weekday is best for everyone or what. Then well go on from there.

I am well aware that weekends are better for most people. You can sign people up or work it out however you want. Are we planning on adding this event onto the budget and paying for it and the gas/tolls as we did for LEAR? I'm ok with that if the rest of the board is.

at this point I would say it is NOT a club certified trip. I thought we could talk about it at the next board meeting or at the next club meeting. I am certainly fine either way and would expect others are not expecting any funds from the club regarding this trip. It is more of a social event that is totally optional.

Ok - got additional info from Tidal Gardens. Costs= $100 for the group. They have parking for about 10 cars. Sunday's are available. Saturday is also fine - unless they are having a live sale that day. They do not have their live sale date set for April yet. So, i think we should have a sign up sheet at next meeting. Then of those people who sign up at meeting will have to proceed with picking a date. Any other thoughts on how to proceed- please post.

Did he give a reason why he is charging $100 to come to his place? He's a retail shop that's in a greenhouse. I'm not seeing why a fee is being assessed to come shop at his store.

It was for a group tour , also we could use the picnic area for a cook out, etc. But ya - I am sure we could just go on our own and not pay. But then again, I am unsure on their hours and its a long drive to just hope he is open.

He is not "open" nor does he have a storefront. He propagates coral in a greenhouse to sale through internet sales. He allows scheduled pickups of orders placed from his site.

So he allows flexible scheduling of pickups of corals that have been sold, not so much to come and look around to see if there is anything of interest there. So the tour is for more of an informational purpose than to just shop.

Whichever way it ends up I am interested in making the trip. (Which I guess is kind of stating the obvious sense I brought it up}. :D

I probably won't make it to the next meeting, but I am definitely in!

2 extra strength Tylenol and chug Gatorade before you go to sleep........
Works like a charm. I was always too drunk too remember though!

Ok- between the thread on the various other sites and this one: how about either the 23rd or the 30th of April??

either for me

I'm still in.

4-5 people will make the entry/host fee of $100 be $20-25 each. So, let everybody know about the idea so we can get more poeple to come.
