So, we built a house and moved in. I finally set up the tank in its final location. Please see build pictures here for a refresher:

Now that my support system is in the basement, I set up the 90 gallon high aquarium as the refugium for the 30 gallon round display. Once finished, I added the original 30 gallon sump below that, because, why not?
Now, the 30 gallon round display is in the entryway of the house, and the 90 gallon refugium is below that in the basement, and the 30 gallon sump is in the stand below that.
Water starts in the 30 gallon display and flows through a PVC pipe with holes into the table below, through a lift pump, through an octopus water distribution system, and back into the display through four nozzles cycling in pairs.
Then, it overflows into the Gray PVC pipe slot and down to the basement where it sloshes through filter media and into the 90 gallon refugium. It gets picked up by the Reef Octopus Elite 150 skimmer and then dumps back into the 90. From there, it overflows (100% coast to coast overflow) down into the 30 gallon sump. I will be adding a night light down there with Chaeto.
It flows through a Rio 2100 lifting pump where some goes through a carbon reactor and back into the 30 sump and some goes back up into the 90. From there, it drains through a PVC pipe with holes, two bulkheads, and down to a Pan World 100 PX pump. Some water goes back to the 90 and the rest goes up to the display by way of two articulating arms and the back of the overflow tube.
I have a five gallon bucket of RODI flowing into the 30 through a small bulkhead and an auto top off valve.
My goal is to make the whole system as stable as possible mimicking the vast Ocean and limited coral reefs and fishes. 150 gallons total, less than 30 gallon display.
