UPDATE on my 75gal - YOUR THOUGHTS?

Just wanted to get some feed back on my tank!

What are everyone's thoughts?

Tank has been running from early this year, around February

I've had my ups and downs the past few months. And now things seem to be a little more stable and things are looking up.

2 copper anthias
2 yellow scissor tail chromis
1 solorensis wrasse
1 blue Linckia sea star
1 sea cucumber
1 emerald crab
1 yellow spot diamond goby
1 black pin cushion urchin
And a CUC

And a few corals thriving pretty good. I put them in as small frags and they've grown very well up to now.

Sump consists of filter sock, live rock, skimmer, my ato, carbon, and phosphate minus and equipment.


I was thinking of running kalkwasser in my ato to get my parameters a bit more stable. What are your thoughts?

It's very basic, I will be doing wire management and maybe a proper manifold eventually.

My 75 is very similar to yours but about 2 months younger. I started using 1/2 teaspoon/gallon of pickling lime in my ATO water. It lessened the PH swing between weekly water changes.

I was thinking of using kalkwasser in my ato to help with swings between water changes. 1/2 teaspoon/gallon. So far parameters are holding pretty good, more I add to the tank I just want to keep the swings to a minimal.

Pickling lime is food grade calcium hydroxide found at a grocery and is usually cheap. Same stuff you would buy as kalkwasser for marine tanks. I bought 2 x 1 pound packages for about 7 dollars. That will last me a long time.
